Required Elements for a Deutsch Assembly:
Receptacle Connector
When choosing a receptacle connector, you will need to determine: connector series, number of cavities, color, and any specialized needs (reduced diameter seals, flanges, etc.).
Note: this connector needs to be compatible with your chosen plug.
Receptacle Wedgelock
All DT, DTM, and DTP Series receptacle connectors require a corresponding wedgelock to ensure a proper connection.
Receptacle Pins
When choosing receptacle pins, you will need to choose the material (nickel, gold plated, etc.), quantity (this corresponds to the number of cavities in your connector), and AWG.
Plug Connector
When choosing a plug connector, you will need to choose: connector series, number of cavities, color, and any specialized needs (reduced diameter seals, flanges, etc.) *Note: this connector needs to be compatible with your chosen receptacle.
Plug Wedgelock
All DT, DTM, and DTP Series plug connectors require a corresponding wedgelock to ensure a proper connection.
Plug Sockets
When choosing plug sockets, you will need to determine the material (nickel, gold plated, etc.), quantity (this corresponds to the number of cavities in your connector), and AWG.
Crimping Tool
A reliable crimp tool is necessary for securing the contacts to the wire with a crimp. Crimpers are available in a wide range of sizes, styles, and crimp types. When choosing a crimper, confirm that it is compatible with the specific type and size of contacts you are using in your assembly.
